Mada Wa’i Al-Aba’ fi Al-Urdu bi Furas Abna’ihim fi Al-Ilmi al-Raqmi [How Aware of Parents In Jordan are of Their Children's Opportunities in The Digital World]

الملخص

تنتشر دعوات التحذير من مخاطر العالم الرقمي على الأطفال بشكل كبير مؤخراً، مما عزز النظرة التقليدية والتي تنظر الى العالم الرقمي كمشكلة بالنسبة للاطفال باعتباره بيئة مليئة بالمخاطر وهو الامر الذي يزيد من ادارة ابوية سلطوية متشددة تعتمد سلوك المراقبة والتقييد للاطفال المراهقين خصوصا ويؤدي بالنتيجة الى تخلفهم عن الركب وفقدانهم الفرصة لاستثمار فرص العالم الرقمي الكثيرة، وتهدف الدراسة الى قياس مدى وعي اباء المراهقين بفرص ابنائهم في العالم الرقمي، وهو أمر هام لتحقيق التوازن بين الفرص والمخاطر ومنع حرمان الاطفال المراهقين من فرصهم،  استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، من خلال عينة أساسية قصدية بلغت 370 مفردة، عبر تطبيق مقياس وعي الآباء بفرص العالم الرقمي، وتمت معالجة البيانات إحصائيًا، بالاعتماد على حزمة البيانات الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية Statistical Package for social science،  أظهرت النتائج بأن وعي اباء المراهقين بفرص ابنائهم في العالم الرقمي ومخاطره عليهم متوسط بشكل عام، ولا فروق بين الذكور والاناث، ولا بين الشرائح العمرية المختلفة، ولا بين المستويات التعليمية، بينما يزداد الوعي بزيادة دخل الاسرة الشهري. ومما سبق يمكن الاستنتاج بأن اباء المراهقين يفتقرون الى الوعي الكافي بالتربية الاعلامية ويحتاجون الى توعية بفرص ابنائهم في العالم الرقمي كي يستطيعوا تمكين ابنائهم من الابحار في العالم الرقمي الراهن والمستقبلي بتوازن وأمان، وهذا يتطلب تكثيف برامج توعية الاباء وتنمية مهاراتهم الاعلامية الرقمية لكي يتمكنوا بدورهم من مساعدة ابنائهم في الاندماج في هذا العالم دون ان يتخلفوا عن غيرهم.

Abstract

Calls to warn of the dangers of the digital world on children have spread widely recently, which reinforced the traditional view that views the digital world as a problem for children as an environment full of risks, which increases the authoritarian parental management that adopts strict control and restriction behavior for adolescent children in particular, and as a result leads to Their lagging behind and losing the opportunity to exploit the many opportunities of the digital world, and the study aims to measure the extent of adolescent parents' awareness of their children's opportunities in the digital world, which is important for achieving a balance between opportunities and risks and preventing adolescent children being deprived of their opportunities. The study used the descriptive and analytical approach, through An intentional basic sample of 370 items, through the application of a measure of parents 'awareness of the opportunities of the digital world, and the data were processed statistically, depending on the Statistical Package for social science, The results showed that parents of adolescents' awareness of their children's opportunities in the digital world and its risks are average. In general, there are no differences between males and females, or between different age groups, or between educational levels, While awareness of the increase in the family's monthly income increases. From the above, it can be concluded that parents of adolescents lack adequate awareness of media education and need awareness of their children's opportunities in the digital world in order to enable their children to navigate the current and future digital world in balance and safety, and this requires intensifying parent awareness programs and developing their digital media skills in order for them to be able in their turn. From helping their children integrate into this world without lagging behind others.
