Abstract

This study aims to analyze the total revenue of creative centers from 2015-2019. The effect of the exchange of managers at the Creative Design Center (CDeC) on the direction of the revenue generation element for the recognition audit from the Center of Technology (COT) was also studied. The study was analyzed based on the annual report on the achievement of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) from 2015 to 2019. This study is important to analyze the strength of administration to maintain the total income generation KPIs RM100,000.00 per year as required in the COT Guidebook Book 2015 Edition and 2020. The findings of the study found that FIVE (5) managers - have administered the Creative Design Center since its inception in 2011 to 2020 consisting of TWO officers from the field of design, TWO (2) officers from the field of engineering and ONE (1) in the field of general studies. The findings of the study show that there are THREE (3) fractions of income generation in element 7.0 of the COT audit. The first breakdown of revenue generators generated or generated from collaboration activities, expertise services (ES), research and innovation (R&I) as well as through teaching and learning (T&L) KPIs. The issuance and recognition has also resulted in the cash income of transactions entered into trust funds or institutional cooperatives. The second fraction is income from collaborations with external industries sponsored by companies or external industries. While the third fraction is the amount of grants obtained from industry or research grants. The year 2019 is the highest achievement with a total income of RM365,345.00 while in 2015 to 2019 the total accumulated each year is between RM101,077.65 to RM 148,390.00. The year 2019 also recorded the highest achievement for the sale of products and services in cash with a total of RM 218,389.00. For the 2018 endowment breakdown recorded the best achievement with an endowment value of RM68,522.90. Meanwhile, 2016 recorded the highest number of grants with a value of RM134,200.00. Income generation through grants shows that 2015 to 2017 contributed 60% to 100% of the total RM100,000 to be achieved. These findings indicate that the change of managers greatly influences the direction of income generation.
