Abstract

Nouns in the Malay language come in two forms, namely Definite and Indefinite. Definite refer to something specific, while Indefinite indicate something general. Each expression of a Noun, whether a Definite or a general, carries its own objectives and systematic references and rules, both in regular and creative writing. In relation to this, the study of Indefinite is especially important, particularly in connection with the Holy Quran, which serves as a guide for Muslims. However, there is not much written and researched about the study of Indefinite in the Quran in the Malay language through searches on Google, Google Scholar, local journals, local books, and the like. Furthermore, the analysis of Indefinite in the Holy Quran is not centered around their objectives. It only looks at them from a syntactical perspective, without detailed analysis from both a syntactical and objective standpoint. Therefore, this writing will delve into the specific objectives of Indefinite found in the Holy Quran. As a result, there are nine objectives of Indefinite in this research.
